What to expect:

At your appointment, your blood pressure will be checked and body composition testing will be completed. You will receive a printed report and your results will be explained to you. You will also be able to discuss your specific health goals with Dr. Finch.

Labs will be ordered at the time of your appointment. You will be given the printed order to take to Labcorp. Once completed and the results are received, you will receive a report that includes a summary of your lab results and Dr. Finch's recommendations.

  • Fasting insulin level 
  • Thyroid stimulating hormone 

Nutritional Testing ($20)

  • Ferritin

Body Composition Testing (InBody)

Please note that this appointment includes body composition testing. Patients with pacemakers are not eligible for body composition testing. For the most accurate results, please follow the following recommendations:

Prior to testing

DO:

  • Maintain your normal fluid intake the day before

  • Stand upright for a least 5 minutes

  • Remove any socks or pantyhose

  • Remove all heavy objects such as jewelry, watches, belts, wallets, and jackets

  • Warm yourself up for 20 minutes in cold weather

  • Use the bathroom

DON'T:

  • Eat or exercise for at least 3 hours

  • Drink anything 30 minutes prior to testing

  • Consume alcohol or excess caffeine for at least 24 hrs

  • Use lotion/ointment on your hands and feet
